Our programs are here to meet people where they are, whether they need help with homelessness, recovery, mental health, domestic violence, education, employment, reentry, or simply someone who believes in them. We don't just want to offer services—we want to Reach One, Teach One, and help people find hope, purpose, and a better way forward.
At R.O.T.O. Foundation Inc., our programs are built to meet people where they are and help them move toward a stronger future. We are committed to addressing homelessness, addiction and recovery, domestic violence, mental health challenges, youth development, education, employment readiness, and successful reentry into the community. Educational support services
R.O.T.O. Foundation Inc. provides comprehensive educational support designed to help individuals overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Our services include tutoring, mentorship, GED preparation, academic guidance, access to learning materials and technology, career exploration, job-readiness training, and connections to continuing education and vocational opportunities. We believe education builds confidence, creates opportunities, and gives people the tools they need to become more independent and successful. Through Reach One, Teach One, we are committed to helping youth and adults turn knowledge into opportunity and opportunity into a brighter future.
Health and wellness programs
R.O.T.O. Foundation Inc. promotes the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the individuals and families we serve. Our health and wellness programs will connect participants with community health resources, mental health and substance-use recovery support, wellness education, healthy-living activities, support groups, and referrals to qualified healthcare professionals and treatment providers when needed. We believe lasting change involves caring for the whole person—helping individuals strengthen their health, rebuild confidence, develop healthier habits, and move toward a more stable and fulfilling life.
Youth development programs
R.O.T.O. Foundation Inc. is committed to helping people of all ages develop the confidence, skills, discipline, and support they need to build a better future. Our youth and adult development programs will provide mentorship, educational support, life-skills training, leadership development, career exploration, substance-use prevention and recovery education, positive activities, and guidance for people facing difficult circumstances. We will work with individuals, families, schools, community organizations, and other partners to help people make positive choices and discover the strengths within themselves. Here at R.O.T.O., we don't believe a person's age, past mistakes, struggles, or circumstances should determine their future. We believe there is something valuable in every person, young or old, and sometimes all someone needs is an opportunity, guidance, and somebody who believes in them. Through Reach One, Teach One, we want to help people recognize their purpose, set meaningful goals, and become positive examples in their families and communities.
Our story
R.O.T.O. Foundation Inc. — Reach One Teach One — was born from a desire to help people rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and purpose.
Curtis and Regina Johnson are building R.O.T.O. together as partners, bringing lived experience, education, teaching, compassion love, empathy, and a genuine commitment to serving people of all communities, who may feel forgotten, overlooked, or without hope.
Our vision is to reach people of all ages and families facing homelessness, substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health challenges, reentry after incarceration, and other difficult circumstances. We believe people deserve more than temporary help—they deserve an opportunity to rebuild, learn, grow, and discover their purpose.
Our history
Our History
R.O.T.O. Foundation Inc. began with a vision that God placed on the heart of Curtis Johnson, in 2007 Curtis later shared that vision with Regina, and together they began building what would become R.O.T.O. Foundation Inc.—a foundation created to reach people who need support, teach what we have learned through life and experience, and help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity, hope, and purpose.
R.O.T.O. stands for Reach One, Teach One. We believe that the lessons, struggles, victories, education, and experiences of our lives can be used to reach back and help somebody else. Our purpose is not simply to give people temporary assistance, but to encourage, teach, support, and empower them as they work toward a better future.
We are at the beginning of our journey, building a foundation committed to serving people of all ages, individuals, and families through compassion, love, empathy, education, recovery support, mentorship, life-skills development, and connections to essential community resources.
Our journey is just beginning, but our faith is strong, our commitment is real, and our purpose is clear: Reach One, Teach One. When we help change one life, that life can someday help change another—and together, we can impact an entire community.
